Responsibilities & Services
• Calculates property tax rates for all taxing entities in Jack County;
• Collects property taxes for all taxing entities within the boundries of Jack County, as of August 1, 2021;
• Makes all corrections to the Jack County Appraisal District master tax roll, as provided by their office;
• Issues all tax certificates for properties located in Jack County
• Processes motor vehicle title transfers & registrations.
• Invoices and collects Texas Alcohol & Beverage (TABC) fees due to the county.

Effective June 1, 2021, the Tax Office will begin closing at 4 pm daily. We will remain open during the lunch hour. No title work will be accepted for processing after 3:30 pm.
As of August 1, 2021, ALL property taxes for Jack County will be collected in the Tax Office for parcels located lN Jack County. Over-lapping school parcels will be collected by the county in which the property is located. You will now receive only ONE green statement in October with all taxing entities on it. You will no longer be mailed a pink statement from the Jack county Appralsal District.

NOTE: Effective February 2020, you MUST be a registered bidder at ANY REAL PROPERTY tax sale (i.e. land, minerals, buildings). Applications MUST be turned in to the Tax Office, along with a non-refundable $10.00 fee no less than 5 business days prior to ANY REAL PROPERTY tax sale held by the County. If you qualify and are issued a Bidder Registration Statement, you must present that statement to the attorneys at the REAL PROPERTY tax sale when you sign in as a registered bidder. This process must be done for EACH REAL PROPERTY tax sale held.
For the 2020 tax year, we collect for the following jurisdictions and the 2021 rates are set at: Jack County 0.429590/County Special 0.114190/EKWD (Jack County parcels only) 0.022690, all of Perrin-Whitt CISD (Jack County parcels only) 1.140400, Graford ISD (Jack County parcels only) 0.9662795 / and the Hospital District 0.315000.
All jurisdictions have 20% attorney fees.
Early payment discount is offered by all jurisdictions EXCEPT Perrin-Whitt CISD and Graford ISD.
